You got yourself a beautiful car there. Amazing how options can completely change the vehicle.
I'm just curious about the PO. Car seems too highly optioned for a dealer to spec it out that way and seems too well thought out for a guy to buy and then get bored with it in a couple of years.
Doesn't really matter. Enjoy and thanks for sharing.

This was more than a year before the GTS came out so I guess they were going for a "GTS-like" fully optioned S before the GTS was available. Also, the 991 TT came out the next year, too, right (2014)? So I guess at the time that such a build would be desirable if you felt like spending the money. For me, glad they did it!

This one is a lot harder for me to quantify with seat of the pants than the engine power/note. The brakes feel stronger, more powerful but I also think they have fresh pads which may be misleading me. As far as chassis impact, I couldn't really tell any difference from highway driving and a few back roads. When I autocross I may be able to form a better opinion. I'm not a track rat so I am probably at a disadvantage in really determining any difference.

Yeah, I might have preferred the sport design wheel (especially since I autocross - more than once have I inadvertently hit the buttons on front to shift) but the carbon fiber looks great and I am getting used to the MF wheel. Plus it's heated - and I put on winter tires and drive year round so that is a plus! It looks and feels better than my previous standard steering wheel at any rate...

I didn't think I would like the yellow at first but it has grown on me. And without them it would have been a sea of black (with a some carbon fiber trim thrown it) - very dark! The little bit of color is nice.
I didn't mind the platinum grey in my previous one but I have always been partial to black interiors so this was just another plus for me...

Also discovered on my ride home that the Burmester has a six disk CD changer (I did not have that before.). Another nice surprise. Plus when I refueled I noticed that it had the aluminum-look fuel cap. Boy, they went freaking nuts when they optioned this thing!

I have never been to C&C's at Katie's - I went to one C&C at Dulles landing last fall (freaking cold day that was!). I do a lot activities with PCA Potomac, though, and have made the PCA national open house the past two years.

Dealer said that they spec'd one out for order for a buyer, when it arrived they liked it so much that they ordered four more and sold them. Only difference is that one of them had yellow deviated stitching. All sold locally. This one was bought and serviced over its lifetime at the same dealer. (I believe that this was one of the four the dealer ordered for sale.).
