Current batteries are just not energy dense enough so to get significant power from them you get too much weight. I can't imagine a 911 hybrid or electric that would not be hundreds of pounds heavier than the already beefy 911.2. It is an engineering problem that requires new technologies that do not exist yet.

I had a 911E awhile ago. Great car but I like the S better.

Porsche's current hybrids have been sales FLOPS. They can't give them away at cost.

Interesting that the 2nd part applies to 918 too -- wasn't the selling price below cost?
