Sorry couldn't resist but shots were fired from the other side first lol. Even if it's quicker I guarantee its not as fun.. I like to be involved in the driving aspect. I will say the McLaren 12C is a whole different story, Wouldn't want to try to manually shift that. Lol
Maybe my birth certificate caught up to me but PDK makes me feel like I can actually drive this thing.

Seems like a general and vague statement to me....I still don't buy the fact that only 10% of 991's are MT

I've got one of the 20 GTS Club Coupes that were ordered with a manual trans - wouldn't have it any other way!

I read an article not long ago that stated total production is 20% MT. Surprisingly more PDK in Europe than US.

Until 2009 most 911's were MT but PDK has really revolutionized our driving habits. It made mediocre drivers better and good drivers faster.

I have owned 6 MT and now 2 PDK. My first new Porsche was in 1983 so I'm sure you will understand when I say been there, done that.

If that is true, it is one more reason why I will never sell my NA, 7-speed MT, GTS. Furthermore, how sad that Porsche might go down the same road as Ferrari and other exotics and do away with a manual transmission. At least Aston-Martin will offer a MT with a V12. The Vanquish and Vantage are beautiful cars. Someday, I will own one of them.

7 speed MT GTS here. Once the car is rolling 7speed MT is faster. Willing to prove it as well.

IN - I've had manual 911's since 1978 and still prefer it.

My wife's 997.2 is a manual (when we started dating in 1978 I taught her how to drive a stick in my '78 Alfa Spider), my current 991.1 is a manual, and my soon-to-be-in-my-garage 991.2 is a manual. I wish my Macan was a manual. From 2005 to 2008 my family hauler was a BMW 5 series wagon with a 6 speed manual.

I have PDK (London daily driver) but have found myself fantasising about changing my own gears again. That said I wonder if I had a manual whether I would wish for the ease of the automatic when stuck in traffic!

Thankfully though, I am a very lucky rodent, and have a Boxster Spyder incoming to satisfy my three-pedal itch on special occasions and do some further driver training in, so I too will be able to post pictures of my **** sometime soon

It feels like a sports car when you drive a MT.
PDK is a great transmission, but it feels lacking as a true roadster IMO.
