Sit in the 14's & 18's then choose. Order the Bose and upgrade tweeters/grills for low cost:https://rennlist.com/forums/991/8519...your-bose.html Have fun ! T

That's not the 'real' question. But...

with the 18-way seats you get pneumatic thigh and side bolsters that you can adjust to your preferences for 'hugging.'

The 'real' question pertains to the architecture of the seats. The 14-way and 18-way seats have a different architecture for the seat back. There are, actually, four seat choices with two architectures: Standard seats and 14-way have the same seat back but differ in powered options and Sport Seats+ and 18-way share the seat back architecture ... etc.

For ME, the 14-way seats feel like I am balanced on a rail, while the 18-way feel like I am sitting in a seat.

Upon sitting in 14-way seats, I knew, within 15 seconds that the 14-way/Standard seat back architecture was worth any amount of money to not sit in. Ever.

Thank you guys for so many helpful information in such a short period of time. Really appreciate them all.

I had a chance to sit in both 18-way & 14-way seats in the dealer's showroom the day I placed the order. To me they both are great seats with good support for sure. It's just that I didn't get to experience them on the road and for a bit long period of time to tell which is really better than the other. Dealer had invited me to go and attend a 991.2 driving experience even which is coming up in less than 2 weeks I guess I can find out whether I should finalize my order with 14-way or 18-way before the lock-in.

As for the stereo, I agree with some guys that at this price range, a better base audio system should be provided but it's Porsche and it's famous for its endless option list >_

oops, for some reason, my reply got cut in half after click the submit button.

I just want to say thank you guys again for sharing your experiences and I am so excited to return to the Porsche family once again.

OP, curious to ask which dealer are you dealing with? I'm trying to get a C2 Cab but Langley told me that there are none this year and can maybe get one next year

I read in another thread: "Are you building the car for you or the guy you might sell it to?"

Sounds (pun not intended) like extra $ for Bose would be unnecessary.

14/18way seats - only your bum can answer that.

Get the rear window wiper! Very few spec that. Unique. And in your climate, if you drive in rain, would be useful.

Your colour choices are awesome, btw.

After another day spent splitting time in these seats, both my wife and I concluded that the 18 ways are much better seats. The more I drive in the 18 ways, the wider the gap I perceive between them and the 14 ways.

If you like the 18 way and to save a ton of weight, look at the sports plus 4 way. Same fit. The Bose is much better than I anticipated -almost bought the burmuster, but to me it would have been a waste because the 911 is a pretty noisy cabin, especially on the highway with sports exhaust. The turbo with SE turned off should be a very quiet car.

No reason to break up the beautiful 911 lines, just buy a bottle of RainX.

Same shape/design but definitely not the same fit. I have both. I swim more in the 4 way SS due to the lack of adjustability and no lumbar. Decent seats but not near as good as the 18 ways IMO.

With the Bose, be sure to enable Linear mode and turn off any 'surround' processing. It makes the difference between a horrible sounding system and a very decent one.

Bose. So, to declare my hand, I am an audio snob. The equipment I have in my audio rack would buy me another 911. Ah well....

Bose is garbage. They do a great marketing job, but it's outright garbage. Don't buy it with any expectation of a "high end audio experience" because it wont happen. In a car or in the house.

I have never heard the base system. I have Bose in my car because it came with it. Maybe it helps with resale - no idea.

That feels better.

What are your thoughts on the Burmester?

Couldn't agree more. Until I turned off the surround processing I was very annoyed. My settings are +2 bass, +1 treble, and -6 fader (rear bias); very pleased with the result and in retrospect happy that I saved the whopping premium for the Burmester.

I am not an audio snob and probably not capable of a truly discerning critique, but I don't know how one creates an audiophile experience in the context of a noisy sports car, especially an open top one. Best factory system I ever had was the B & O in an Audi A7. The Bose in my Ferrari 599 set new standards for overpriced junk and the brain trust at either Bose or Ferrari locked out all equalization controls available in the base unit. Luckily some guy in a high end car audio shop figured out a sequence of buttons to push which unlocked the equalizer and made it at least customizable. For those of us whose source files are limited to the standard iTunes downloads in our phones or highly compressed satellite radio, I think the Bose in the 991.2 is fairly good.

Quick Reply: 991.2 Order: 14 or 18-way seat & Bose Audio or not?
