After few correspondences, I got another offer from the same lambo dealer for an absolutely new (0 on odometer) white Huracan LP580-2 for:
$ 300K cash, or
finance $100K down plus about $ 1500 / month 120 payments (1.9%).

LP580-2 is RWD like C2 and more prone to holy*** oversteer in sport mode. This one has like $ 30K options that I am not sure that I need (green caliper, $10K 20 inch black titanium wheel, $3K sport exhaust, green stiching, etc). I really only need the front lifting for entry curb & it already comes standard in huracan.

Also it seems to me that the dealer doesn't want to sell me that used blue gallardo for whatever reason and insisting on selling me the huracan. Perhaps, they know something that I don't...

By looking at the deal above, does it mean I have acceptable credit or the dealer has problem moving new inventory or there is a catch in taking this deal?

I just also was quoted a R8 V10 + $200K LESS 4% , or $194K.
$100K difference for exotic look!

I went through the same dilemma recently. My choices were

New R8 v10 plus
New McLaren 570s
Used McLaren 650s
New Huracan
Used 458

I actually preferred 570s over all of the cars I listed. I didn't want TTS as I already owned a GTS and didn't want another 911.

Wish I had your dilemma! With the McLaren are you or intend to go do some Track days or Driving events? Seems like all the listed cars would be great on the track with a little bit of tuning to ensure suspension geometry is ideal for such occasions.

Thought the MSRP on the 580-2 was $200k before options... For $300k I'd spend the money elsewhere.

Heard both McLarens are great track cars that also you could drive daily and not have issues with! So that is something to consider but then again you said you already had a daily driver. If it were me and I was looking to own THAT car and didn't car about looks or other issues/concerns I'd consider the new R8 V10 plus, along with that Hurcan and add the new NSX into the list (nobody has mentioned that one yet but its in the same technology league as lots of the others mentioned) and also the new V10 Aston Martin! Gallardo is nice looking also but its older technology and as you and others mentioned all the other cars you're thinking of have way better transmission so I'd pass especially if you can afford the Gallardo. You also can't go wrong in a 458 at all I hear! LOL

Let us know what you chose and if you really leave the P-car fold!

The MSRP is actually $ 250k here. Plus options and gov taxes, the cost easily surpass $ 300k. Some options becoming standard next year (2017) like front lift system and bluetooth and it causes the MSRP to increase even more to $ 260K.

There's just no dealer in my town for 570s. I don't think they even have dealer here. Sad I know.

Ah ok, I was thinking it was just a market correction... I'd say it sounds fun to find out how nice of a car they're making these days!

I think what to get with these options is probably one of those 'no wrong answer' type of questions so long as the finances are comfortable. Let us know what you decide and how you like it!

Thanks so much for sharing your thoughts. If I have to leave the P-cars, it's going to be with heavy heart since I've been attached to it for so long. Not to mention I have super great relationship with my P dealer...but maybe because I bought car from them and often bribe them with donuts LOL

The new NSX may appeal to some people, but it just doesn't work for me. Looking at V10 AM, though I think the concept one looks so much better...

Yes I agree with you. I asked the lambo dealer their lead time to order new one with options that I wanted, they told me 7-8 months. I don't think my mind can survive waiting for that long.

Get the Huracan!
+1 of these choices

I agree with Huracan also. If you can't find a 570s locally to test then definitely go with Huracan!

The lambo dealer is bringing in a test huracan for fitment test to see if it fits my pathway and garage tomorrow. I have a slight slope on pathway that goes into my garage, so no deal if the bottom of huracan scraps with lift on.

Also, they're going to inspect my 991 for trade in.

If all goes well and money part is agreeable, the new huracan will be mine...

Actually have really mixed feeling about this, but I can't justify keeping 991 and huracan at the same time $ wise due to yearly inspection cost and gazillion of taxes here.

Will post pictures when everything is a done deal.

Just a quick update, a test orange huracan went over my sloping pathway and got parked in my garage without much problem today. It seems like with the lifter on, it has much higher ground clearance than 991.

I was also a bit surprised that in cruising mode, it has about the same sound as my 991 PSE in sport mode.

Guess only thing left is $ issue - will negotiate if they can give better deals than now.
