17 C4S vs. 14 TTS
I'm sure this has been covered but looking through 18 pages of posts yielded nothing and you can't really search effectively for "turbo" on this forum anymore
Close to choosing between either a very low mileage CPO 14 Turbo S cab or a new 17 C4S cab with nice options (sport pkg, PDK, etc.). Cars are close in price, TTS a bit more.
Curious to what the consensus might be ... opt for the higher power TTS which is somewhat further (perhaps) into its depreciation curve and might hold a little extra value in a few years (or not), plus has a little extra warranty, or the new car with the improvements, and, let's face it, a brand new Porsche is always nice to have.
I wish the 17 car had the ceramic brakes but it does not. I prefer the color combo on the 17, especially the interior, but the TTS is fine, too. I also somewhat prefer the sleeker lines on the C4S compared to the scoops and wing on the TTS. Both cars have more power than I could ever use on the street and I will not be tracking the car. Nor will I be using launch control on the street, etc.
Not a novice to 911s ... started with a 911SC in 1990 and have had a few 3.2 Carreras, modded 87 930, a bunch of 993s (Carrera 4 and Carrera 2 coupes and cabs), 996 cab and Targa, 997 C2 cab, 991.1 C2 cab. Oh, and a Boxster, briefly.
Sound of neither car thrills me but hoping for a Sharkwerks option on the 991.2 if I go that way (if it doesn't exist already).
What would you choose?

I would probably go the 17 C4S. Since you can't utilize the full power of the TT in daily driving, a C4S should be more than enough, esp with the increased torque in the new Turbo engines. Plus, as you mentioned, the newest P is always nice to have

Burning Brakes
On the other hand (devils advocate). That's a lot of depreciation as you drive it off the lot - $ 30K ? The TTS has already taken the hit, for the most part. On the other, other hand ..... This is a wonderful dilemma to have, and I agree that the rear wing on the TTS is not completely my cup of tea.
Good luck with this beautiful conundrum. Enjoy.

I was in the exact same dilemma recently. After a year of hunting for a naturally aspirated 991 specced out to my liking, I gave up and found a 2k14 turbo exactly the way I wanted it. Ultimately I ended up ordering a brand new c4s ordered exactly the way I wanted it for about 25K less.

I wanted a GTS so bad. Hunted and hunted and hunted till I got tired. Test drove the 991.2 c4s and fell in love with the off the line power. It really hauls ***. Naturally aspirated sound is amazing, but the little turbo whine is equally as cool IMO.

I am a big fan of the Porsche TT cars, had 4. They are fantastic cars to drive with unbelievable power. It would be a TTS for me no doubt and I love my 4S.

That's a very good question ... having trouble deciding : )
Looks: Prefer the color combo on the C4S, and the more understated lines. TTS is black, which can be a headache but looks badass.
Options: A tie ... like the ceramics on the TTS, but also interested in the improvements to the PCM after my former 991.1. TTS has the adaptive cruise control; C4S has the lane change assist.
Performance: TTS is obviously the winner for power, but the C4S has plenty of power as well, it's Sport Chrono so it has the overboost, etc.
There is a brand new 2015 TTS available in a better color but not a big enough discount to offset two model years behind, to my way of thinking. I could have bought a new 2016 TTS cab for the same price from a local dealer a few weeks ago, but it was agate over red which was just a little too weird for my sensibilities.
Appreciate the input.
