Default Spoiler deploys to different heights

I've noticed that the spoiler on my 991.1 C4S will raise to different heights. It seems completely random which makes me think something funny is going on. It's a difference of a couple of inches. I couldn't find anything stuck in the spoiler to cause interference.

Has anyone else noticed a similar situation? Not necessarily a big deal, but I want to make sure something isn't failing on the spoiler.

Both PASM-S and sunroof. So does it change the height when the sunroof is open?

yes PASM-S cars also deploy their spoiler higher than PASM or non-PASM cars (as do Cabriolets)

In my gts, the spoiler deploys to 2 Heights as far as I can tell. The 1st I would call standard height ( >70mph) and to its highest when the sunroof is open. I assume this done to compensate for the change in air flow over the car.

For the guys that manually deploy the spoiler around town, do you re-deploy it to the higher position when you crack the sunroof?

I think we all know the unspoken rule of never manually deploying the spoiler.

I believe that's correct ... I also thought (perhaps wrongly) that PASM-S cars deployed their spoilers at a greater angle of attack

So true. Can't remember what YouTube review I was watching, 991 or RS5, but the reviewer is explaining the buttons...

"and this one manually deploys the spoiler if you want to do that around town, which I won't...because I'm not a douche..."

I can't confirm sport vs sport+ deployment. I can only advise that I am 6'3" and I can only see the spoiler in rear view mirror when sunroof is open.
