New car scratch /paint question

New car scratch /paint question
All,
I have a deposit on a new Black 2015 991.1 that's a perfect build and about 21% off msrp. We were closing it out today and the dealer discovered and disclosed two scratches on the front bumper top surface near the hood. It's on the bumper, not metal, not the hood, but noticeable and needing a little paint. The dealer is an authorized Porsche body shop and confident that it will be perfect. The scratches are about .5" and .75"in length.
Question, do I proceed because it's only the bumper and I'm going to put a clear bra on it, or do I bail because it's a new car and damaged goods. I plan to keep the car for a long time and really need some advice.
Thank you,
Eric

21% off? Keep it. Fix it. Done.

Keep it. I have a GTS and scratched my bumper literally the day after I bought it. It is so low to the ground, it is almost inevitable when going down certain declines. In other words, there is a pretty good chance that you will end up with a scratch or two on your bumper anyway. I've come to accept the occasional scratch on the bumper - which I have learned to fix with a DIY paint job that is quick and works remarkably well.

I wouldn't let the car go for a simple fix. Document the scratch with pics just in case you want to sell down the line. I would take it as is and ask for an additional discount off msrp.

For 21% off MSRP on an unsold 2015 they could give it to me without the bumper for all I'd care.
Seriously though, I'd take the deal and run, but as previously mentioned, see if you can squeeze more out of them.

it happened to me few years ago, I drove to Annapolis, Md to pick up a new M3. That morning when the car was parked outside for delivery, a car parked next to it and opened the door resulting in a small door dent. The dealer was very classy about it, and offered to fix it and ship the car to me or cancel the transaction and reimburse my travel or I take it and can fix it locally and they will pay whatever cost.I did end up taking the car and had 3 estimates varying from 300 dollars to 1400 dollars. I did choose the guy that was trust worthy and turned out to be the cheapest at 300 dollars. When I talked to general manager about the offers I had , he said you can go where ever you want. He did send me the 300 dollars and another check for 1000 dollars for inconvenience.Yes , you can squeeze them for a little more money but is it worth it. By the way if they do the repair , it will not show on car fax

Paint it, buy it, drive it. Bumper repaints are more common due to the low profile of these cars and the amount of crap that comes in contact with the bumper.

get it
I would get the car---get a good bumper repaint--I would advise to let the paint fully cure before applying clear bra/film---

Many new cars get minor scratches and the like shipping from factory to dealer. The buyer would never know they'd been repaired. Happens every day.
