Funny, but my PSE is 6 channels of audio bliss

Wow, those are some crazy angles with the tweeter support structure embedded in the triangular base structure. How did you come up with the angle? Line of site/laser or actual tweeter placement and sound tests.

I never knew that tweets were distorted so much when reflected off of glass. Continue educating please...

Dash mounted speakers are tough to tune. You'll see spikes in the response from the material it's reflecting off of. Sometimes you can tune them out, most of the time you can't. Even if you can, typically it involves dumping a certain frequency in the EQ which ultimately leads to an over-processed sound. The less EQ that has to be done in the end the better.

The outside angles of the housing were all taken from the Porsche's design language. If I got a shot of the door from farther back it would make that more apparent. The angle of the tweeter is just to get the speaker closer to on-axis with the listening position. The higher a frequency is the more narrow the dispersion.

Here's the grilles we pressed for the housing, and the final shots of the assembly on the door.

Amazing how well it was thought out and executed. Craftsmanship like that is very hard to find these days.

That's for sure! Unfortunately there isn't enough money in the skilled trades today to lure in talented personnel. Thankfully the few that remain are still stellar in there execution.

Thanks, we'll get to the amps soon enough. They're actually in the boot.

I'm curious what were the exact dimensions of the subwoofer cabinet? It appears that the front panel that houses the aluminum grill is wider than the rear panel. The design appears to be a quadrangle vs. rectangular box.

Very impressive! I've been into 2 channel home audio all of my adult life and have put a lot of time and effort into my system. I've never bothered with car audio but this thread has me considering it. I know who I will bring my car to if I decide to upgrade the system in my base 2012 991!

That is correct DrCGuerra. I don't have the exact dimensions, but the base shape is an isosceles trapezoid. the car's interior tapers in that area, so a rectangular enclosure would have looked misplaced and aftermarket.
