Default Electrical Problem with Window on 2016

Just a heads up for anyone with a 2016. Driver's side window will not close. Window goes up but comes half way back down and stops. Service tells me it is a known problem. Car needs to be brought into Service so they can re flash the computer. Apparently this re flash affects only 2016 models. Other model years the owner can reset the window without bringing the car in for service.

Have you tried removing battery terminals for a couple mins then reconnectiong? just wondering if that might make a difference.

Have you tried holding the switch until it closes and then remain holding for a few seconds? This worked for my 2016 to reset the window index. Just a thought.

I have used this method numerous times on my 911's to fix similar window issues. It resets the stop setting for the window. This method used to be outlined in the users manual. Don't know if it still is.

I'll go back and try this again. I did try holding the switch until the window went all the way to the top, but, the window would get to the top and immediately go back down to the bottom. I can't get the window to stop at the top. At some point as the window was going back down I would let go of the switch.

Update. Yes this worked. Still took the car into the dealer to have it checked. Dealer thinks part of the problem could be not driving the car enough to keep the battery fully charged. Car has 1200 miles in 8 months so I think the dealer could have a valid point.
