NEW! Porsche Console Lid with Logo (Extended Height)

I ordered this and the quality is great. Looks just like the leather part in my car except taller and with the logo.
The problem is that I cannot figure out how to remove the carpet and trim behind the console to install the piece. This is different from swapping out a regular height piece for one with a logo where you can just remove 8 screws. The new piece needs a different part with the hinge to attach.
Anyone have an idea of how to remove the trim???

Me too. I looked at mine the other day, and was just geeking out on a 991.2 Vid after reading your post. Then saw the difference.
Think I'm going to do it. Mine doesn't have the crest, and it's going into the shop for a little PSE action anyway

Where are you buying the PSE? Did you get a good price?

I'm really looking forward to the sound.
P.S regarding price - parts were around $1700. Could be worse, I'm sure some could have done better.

I finally got around to installing this today. The DIY from shaginwagon were excellent. Took me about an hour including set up and clean up. It's dark right now but the new lid matches my Agate grey interior perfectly and has the stitching and logo. Most importantly, my elbow rests at the right level now.

Since some previous posters discovered that this part is a 991.2 part, I looked up the colors it is available for 991.2 and it seems you can get it in Bordeaux Red.

However the thing I wonder is this:
What is Bordeaux Red?
On the 991.1 the two-tone interior was Black/Carrera Red. When you say your car is garnet red, is it really Carrera Red? When I got mine I didn't see Garnet as a red on the configurator.
