PCM On with No Key

PCM On with No Key
I need some help here.
I got in my car a while ago (it was not locked) and just for grins I turned the ignition to the on position. I did not have a key in my possession. When I pushed a PCM button it started working. This surprised me and I though it was OK except now I can't turn if off without the key.
I turned the start switch to the off position and it's still on. I got out of the car and closed the door and it's still on. I have been waiting for it to time out and it's still on after 15 minutes.
It seems you need a key to run the system off.
Am I missing something.

You actually don't need to even turn the car on. The PCM is on the MOST bus and will fire up for about 10-15min at a time with a press of the volume ****. Most european vehicles are this way.
