Default TireCradles/Flat Stoppers Tire Storage

I will have to put my 991 into storage during June/July/August in my garage in Tucson. I've had tires "flat spot" with a stored car up north, but this is my first time to store a car in a hot climate.

Does anybody have experience with these tire cradle products. Do they work? Are they necessary. Do the 20 inch rims make it more or less needed?

I've read that some just advocate stacking several pieces of carpet.

Any feedback???

Thanks
Larry

My cars sit for months at a time. Hot/Cold weather. I use carpet squares and 50 PSI in the tires. No flat spots in over 20 years of using this method.

I do the exact same thing. My Cayman and 911 get stored for the winter, sometimes over 5 long winter months, without any issues. One can usually pick up left over free carpet remnants at any local carpet store. Overinflate to 50 psi. Have not had any flat spot issues.

All you need to do is pump up your tires to 58 PSI. They even print that in your manual.

I've used tire cradles for years with great success - plus they're very easy to drive up on. I purchased flatstoppers first and launched it about 20 feet when I was driving up on it.
