If the dealer overwrites it (It happened to me), you cant change the tune or use it.
It cost me $45 for Cobb to get a code to allow my unit to re-install itself.

Best to un-install prior to going to dealer.

Just changing to zero tune still has a Cobb tune onboard.

Also, wanted to say that I ran through the uninstall/reinstall of the Accessport over the weekend as well as switching between maps. Always recommend using a battery charger just in case (different cars may take different amounts of time and I have a 987.2), but it only took minutes for each of these changes.

Will you be getting a dyno for comparison's sake?

Ordered my Cobb Tuning kit today and should have in about 3 days. Will be interesting to feel the performance enhancement. Only mods are BMC air filters and FabSpeed X-Pipe (just installed). May add Fabspeed MaxFlow Exhaust but will wait and see what the Cobb Tuning brings forth. Can't wait!!

Alain how did the Cobb Accessport turn out for you? Did you get a protune for the Accessport as well or just the OTS maps? Look forward to hearing back on how it worked out for you, and let me know when you are ready for those Maxflos the exhaust note is superb

Hello - Cobb accessport is awesome. Can't complain and can feel the added increase in power in all gears. I did not go with a custom tune, went with stage 1 out the box. I'll keep you posted on Fabspeed max flow.

Best,

Erm, not a million miles off actually. Morel Ultimo Titanium 10" built into the rear armrest. Frunk largely consists of amplifiers...

I will eventually, but my shop's dyno is currently down. Also not sure if Fabspeed are still to send me another tweaked tune. I just sent Steve there some datalogs from the one I have though asked him not to change it unless he has to because it's very good! I ticked the box that said 'street/track' and the car feels more lively around town and just insanely angry through the midrange. I don't know if max power at redline has increased a lot but the car is just so much more fun to drive. More responsive is the main thing. It takes what I love about the NA engine and makes it more so if that makes any sense. Also, and this is extraordinary, I swear the sound has improved too. More mellow somehow. Who knows.

Have Cobb on both my cars now. Once you've driven a tuned Porsche, only a tuned Porsche will do!

Can't wait to see pictures of the sound system!

I just installed the latest from Cobb, including the PDK tune. Wow. I'll say that again: WOW. The new (for me, anyway) Stage1 93 v200 tune with the PDK COBB Sport v201 (NOT the COBB Aggressive tuning) is simply awesome. It smooths out all engine behavior and improves throttle response noticeably. The datalog shows -4.5 maximum ignition corrections across all cylinders. With the previous tune the ignition corrections were all over and some cylinders had as much as -16.9 degrees of correction. This is brilliant. Don't know if I even need the PDK aggressive tuning, but well, you know - Porsche.

Two comments, and I'll talk to Cobb about this. First, the car revs to 7808 on very aggressive driving, but I'm not sure if this is a problem - anyone care to chime in? Out of 18k+ data lines there were 2 points at 7808 and only 142 points where the revs exceeded 7400.

The second comment is that the new PDK tuning has the 2nd-to-3rd upshift very delayed. On aggressive driving, this is great, but around town, it stays in the lower gear too long for comfortable cruising. I needed to switch out of Sport Mode to get it to calm down.

Anybody else make these upgrades yet?
