Is Sports Chrono a big deal?
Hi everyone, I have been reading these forums for some time now and need a bit of advice.
I have been looking for a 2012+ Carrera S for a couple months now. I have found one that has almost everything I want, except the sports chrono.
I honestly think it makes the car look sporty but how much real value does it bring to the car and what are the true advantages.
I appreciate any input.

I don't use it's function or sport plus mode very often.
Makes the dash look cool.

You didn't say if you had a MT or PDK. That makes a big difference.
I would get SC on a MT. Rev matching is awesome! You get gimmics like a G force meter (which is cool) and the point of relaxation of PSM is later which is nice. I can also record track laps on my sport screen and show the track outline as I drive it on the PCM. It's cool. My second favorite option after PSE. It adds more burbles on the PSE during over run and it just sounds better with PSE. A must for me.
I don't drive PDKs (nor will I ever) but I hear SC adds launch control. lol.

The clock is an annoyance more than anything. However, it is a -must have- mod for a PDK car, as it gives you the Sport Plus mode with Launch Control!
Also, I believe it adds dynamic motor mounts.

I passed on it. Did not want Big Ben on the dash and launch control was not a temptation for me. Of the package, just wanted the motor mounts. Might be worth it if you are a track guy, I'm not.

Dynamic engine mounts, launch control and/or rev matching.
Not an insignificant addition to the car.
I would want it.
