Ignore the clock/wart, the real value of SC is the Sport, Sport+ and PADM etc ... esp for PDK cars otherwise the econo-logic programming of the PDK will drive you insane as another minivan blows
you away from the lights while you cruise along in 7th at 35mph.

Damn, my white faced clock is one of my favorite features of the interior.

Or just put the PDK in manual mode and choose your own shift points.

Standard on my 50th, and sure like the rev matching and sport plus on my MT, is great in the mountains as well.

I wish I had the lunch control option, not for me but some of my female friends get queezy during spirited driving on the curvies. It sounds like it's a "must have" for Chris Evans too.

For you guys and gals with a manual transmission, I suggest that you read about and learn how to heel & toe. When you do it right, it is sublime. Amaze your friends and humiliate your enemies. Seriously, it's part of the driving experience, and a great skill to learn.

I'm not sure I understand what that option does. Does it work in conjunction with the cupholders, to hold your sandwich, or maybe it's part of the PCM and nav to tell you where to stop and eat?

Already know how to heel and toe and still like the rev match feature, maybe getting lazy.

As far as the "lunch control" feature, it is not available for MT drivers like myself that find it difficult to eat a panini while shifting.

You can do that in your 981? Isn't the brake too high or did you get a mod?

Didn't your hear about the Porsche collaboration with Weight Watchers? Less weight = faster 0-60 times.

No mod, I've found that all Porsches have excellent pedal placement for H&T. Even the older ones, with the pedals coming out of the floor.

My 997.2 did not have it so I added it after the fact- huge improvement. Didn't need it on the GT3 but I definitely wanted and got it on my 991. Better to have it than not IMO.

While so many individual seem to equate Sports Chrono with the clock, launch and lunch control, and some fun PCM logs, the real advantages in my opinion are the subtle and not so subtle changes in accelerator mapping and PDK mapping (on PDK-equipped cars) as well as the active engine mounts. I switch to manual mode and shift PDK with paddles unless I'm in heavy traffic or getting from A to B on local freeways. Sports+ provides a much more responsive/enjoyable drive.

I also like the look of the clock but mostly it's the more aggressive nature of the ALL the settings that I enjoy.
