Yes! As mentioned many times the installer is more important than the film used. Make sure you find an independent that is very well reviewed and you have access to first hand references. And avoid the dealer!
As for cost, depends on your area, installer, and what material is used... I think I paid around $1500 for the full front clip + window tint but it can run anywhere from $1500-2000 or so, maybe more depending on what you get done.
