Did ANYBODY here actually buy a Carmine Red GTS?
So many of the promotional materials last year (and in late-14) depicted the GTS in either GT Silver or Carmine Red. The first one I saw was a Carmine Red GTS 2 from Beverly Hills Porsche, when I was staying at the Palm Desert Marriott last February. It was stunning.
I love red sportscars, just want to keep a slightly lower profile on my Porsches so I always get Arctic or GT, which I also love, for different reasons. But I have yet to see (in any venue) another Carmine Red GTS; and with the weekly introduction threads from new owners, I don't remember seeing anybody with Carmine.
So do any of you have one? It's such a rich, gorgeous color.

Okay, there's one. It's funny, usually if Porsche previews a model in a particular, unusual color, it gets snapped up. Even something as weird as Peridot Green on the Cayman R. Of course, Lime Gold from a few years ago was a sale-proof bomb, but that's sort of to be expected. But a wonderful, non-controversial shade of red like that, you'd think would be flying off the lots. I remember when Arena Red bowed (was that with the 993 Turbo or 993 C4S?) It was everywhere, much more prevalent than Guards. And Arena is not nearly the knockout red that Carmine is, IMO.

Well, I hope you have the good sense not to rub it in that you have a 50th. You could be very condescending to him if you chose to! (better colors, better wheels, better interior goodies).

Yep. Took delivery in September - drop dead gorgeous 2016 Carmine Red GTS 7MT. Fourth red car (previous BMWs and Audi S4 - first red Porsche after earlier Seal Gray and Basalt Black C2S 997.1 and 997.2 models). Once you see this color in person - hard to imagine ordering anything else. Too much attention? Really?
