IPD Plenum - Anyone Installed one?

A lot of money for a pretty meaningless power increase.

seems like a bargain compared to an Akrapovic!

note the IPD is similar in concept to *part* of the X51 kit...

I'm curious what plenum is in the GTS? Maybe I can track down a part number. I know it's different on the powerkit cars vs. the Carrera S's, etc ...
Haven't heard anything bad about the IPD. Just like $1K for the part and another that much for install?? Not many installs that I've heard of to give much input. One guy had one, but also did a flash which he wasn't sure what effect the IPD had as a stand alone piece.

I have a hard time believing that anyone can feel anything under a 15% power increase through the butt dyno. Most of this stuff is simple placebo effect. I think it would take a good 450HP in my C2S before I noticed any real change. 15HP is akin to the benefit you'd get by taking a crap before you went for a drive.

Maybe my added oomph comes from the switch path exhaust that was added at the same time.
As far as plenums go, the owner of a Porsche tuning/racing shop local to me said that the air intake is pretty well worked out by Porsche on the GTS. Adding an after market plenum may add some bhp but only 2 or 3. He said it was a different story on the 997s engines which gained a lot with a plenum upgrade.
