Very interested to see how this effects the driving experience. Please keep us posted.

Sorry, I have been traveling in Europe, so not really put any miles on her since the WF86 and first oil change. I did about 30 miles and so far I did not detect any difference - all feels good.

I did ask them to upgrade the PCM to 4.76 (I am on 4.74 and it crashed twice). They said they did not have the latest version. I was a bit annoyed about that!

Had the WF86 update this weekend. Felt no difference in driving. I asked about the WF96 campaign (tank leakage diagnosis) and was told that it did not apply to my car.

Had the 24-month service on my 991 GT3 on Friday, and this WF86 update DME reprogramming came up. Came here to see what it was for and found this thread, and still wasn't sure.

When I went back to pick up the car, I asked what it was, and the service adviser showed me the page on his computer describing it. It was just an update to the service interval programming in the DME--nothing to do with how the car runs, just correcting a problem with how and when the "service reminder" alert shows up on the multi-function display.

Maybe the "WF86" update code just applies to any DME update, and it can be different for different models? I don't get it...

That's why the dealer didn't charge me to reset my "Oil Life". I called and they quoted $50. Took it in for that and a broken pass. window sw. ( Part was in stock, wow ) When I got the bill it said "No Charge" for the reset. Now I know its because they had to do the WF86. I thought they were just being nice.
