Default 991 GT3 R customer cars are arriving


Porsche shipped 991 GT3 R customer cars to US teams two weeks ago.

Team Seattle got their car today:



There will be at least 5 991 GT3 Rs competing in the Rolex 24 at Daytona in January.

The new 991 GT3 R chassis made its debut in the VLN series in October and placed 3rd. The car ran with the previous generation 4 liter R engine in that race however.

Development of the new 4 liter DFI engine started in December of last year, late in the car's development cycle.

does this have the 'double bubble' roof from the 997 SportClassic? If so, Porsche needs to bring out an even more limited 991 R SportClassic
