Default Ok It could be worse

For example, I took delivery Friday past, the 27th--Car was supposed to be here mid-October-- but no biggie just more endless forum surfing, video watching, numerous use of the Porsche' Good to Know and Delivery apps u.s.w.
But guess what? 11/26 Crap hits the fan weather wise, Ice storm, freezing rain etc. So I am sitting here looking out my window at the ice rinks that pass for roads. Good news is we're warming up. BTW Had Pirelli Soto zeros put on and she does handle pretty steady in this boilerplate--and just a tad bit worse in the slush--

Whats the process once the car hits port? PDI, then what? Is it just a waiting game depending on how busy it is? Anyone know an average time spent at port? And how long does it really take a dealer to process a car?

Customs, delivery to dealer, the PDI. Elapsed time can run 1-3 weeks depending on season and your distance from port.

My car arrived in houston on a monday, and was in my suburban home garage on friday at noon. It depends on how many cars are headed your direction, and truck availability more than anything else, mine was quick, it could take a couple weeks.... Dealer had PDI done on my car 2 hours after it was off the truck...

I hope to share a similar fate, mine only needs to go 4 hours on a truck. Hoping the fact that Im close to NYC helps the amount of trucks coming my way.

Maybe third time is a charm, both my M5 and Jeep sat 3 weeks awaiting delivery (Jeep was at the railyard).

I go to bed at night and cant sleep. I cant count sheep because I see visions of 911s driving through the sheep pen. Than I almost fall asleep, and I have nightmares of barbed wire scratching my doors. Last night the sheep chewed the front spoiler off and someone stole a center lock wheel.

I know, reverse psychology? I will put out my coin jar to remind me how much money I will owe.
ETA? I'm in PDI in Rhode Island.

You may get lucky. My car hit the port in RI on 10/28 and was at the dealer by 10/29. Wrapped on 10/30 and in my hands by 10/31.
