Default Considering putting my Carrera S on nitrous

So I'm toying with the idea of having a wet nitrous system on my car. Nothing crazy, but maybe a 75-100 shot. Anyone here have any experience in nitrous on the 3.8?

Will I have to remap the ECU, or will it pretty much make adjustments on the fly by itself?

I think the ECU isn't easy to remap given the difficulties of hacking it. What would be more prudent, however, is beefing up some engine internals to compensate the increased torque - no idea if that's possible.

good way to **** up a engine -- idk what these new engines run. The 997 engines were about $30k in the crate.

It's your car, so I say go for it. Purist will hate it. I love when people mod their cars - just not my car.

I think the dry-shot that blows into the intake is better/safer than the usual wet-shot/injector kind.

Sell it. Buy a 991 Turbo or 991 Turbo S. Cheaper in the long run. Proven. Reliable power. Warranty.

You'll get murdered on cost of mods and depreciation. No one wants to buy a modded 991 on the aftermarket.

Kind-of off subject, but is anyone supercharging our cars?

This is what I did when I had a 997 C2- traded for a 997TT- cost me about $10k in depreciation in 5 yrs on the car. plus $10k in mods including FVD 555hp/550tq tune.

I used to have a Honda CRZ...I was letting my driving record clear for a few years, lol

On their forum, someone talked about putting in nitrous. On a hybrid. A hybrid with a tiny engine on nitrous.

I find it hard to take NOS seriously after that.
