My car came with the MF wheel and I absolutely hate the shift buttons.

I am looking to change out to the SD or a 991.2 wheel (if possible). Let me know if anyone wants to buy the MF wheel off me. Barely used.

I think this depends on what transmission you get. If I got a PDK I would have for sure gotten the SD wheel. On the cars that I test drove the paddles made shifting very enjoyable. On a manual car though I think you could go either way. I ended up with the MF on a 7MT and could not be happier. Also I hope to retrofit the 991.2 MF wheel if it's an option at some point. From what I understand, you cannot get the MF features to work if you start out with the SD wheel.

I have lived w/ a MF wheel for years now and I truly appreciate it [MT].

On a 991.2 it seems you can order the sports design w/ MF - am going w/ that - and w/ Sports pkg you get the Manettino controller Agree re the aesthetics: plain SD all-the-way.

As an aside: if you select the Sports Pkg the configurator does not display the Manettino-style wheel-mounted selector [it will if you just tick Sports Chrono]; but it's most definitely described in the text.

Had multi function in 1st 991 (2013) - loved it, but kind of ugly...buttons were a 2 minute learning curve.

Now have Sport Design w/paddles (2015) and like that also - 2 minute learning curve & not ugly.

How is Porsche PDK set up for shifting with the center shifter? Is it similar to BMW DCT - pull down for upshifts and push up for downshifts or the inverse?

Inverse. Forward for upshifts, back for down shifts. So it's backwards. Takes a while to get used to it.
