I would strongly recommend the new MAX 360. Much better rejection of false negatives introduced by radar cruise control. The integrated ones are older technology.

Here is my 360 mounted to the mirror post of the Subaru, waiting for the proper Blendmount to arrive for the 991. Getting used to the noises and the Escort Live app.

I went from a Redline to the MAX 360 and all I have to say is WOW! The MAX 360 is an amazing radar detector and by far the best I have ever owned (Passport 8500, 9500i, Redline and now the MAX 369)I am very impressed

A couple of questions for you:
1) From the drivers seat, can you easily see the display and directional arrows?
2) Is the front (display side) of the Max360 about level with the mirror or does it sit further back (towards the windshield) or further forward (towards the driver). My preference is for it to be positioned further back.
Hope you follow the above ;-)

Hi Todd
I also purchased the same Blendmount for my 991 GTS. Although it appears they changed the design. Compare my pic to yours - I ordered the same one (sorry for the crappy pic - Rennlist flipped it too). I installed it and there is not enough clearance between the bottom of the mirror and the top of the radar - it's jammed together and the radar still does not sit horizontal! Anyway I called Blendmount and they are sending me a replacement part to extend the vertical clearance. Just thought I would mention it in case others are ordering.

Prior to leaving for Australia I installed an Escort RedLine directly wired to my fusebox with the Escort Live hardwire kit. I used the blendmount mount and while I would have preferred for it to be above the rear-view mirror, It does not hinder my view of the road placed directly below the mirror.
I will post pics when I return to the US.

I thing it looks great. I have my Uniden 950 sitting on the dash with the window plungers and plugged into the foot well charger. Much cleaner with the mirror mount.

So, I received my Max 360 today. It is much different from every detector I have owned. I am not yet completely familiar so I cannot yet comment. My BlendMount arrives on Friday. I will have it all configured by next week.
I have two questions.
First, I think I now understand the drill.
My problem is with hard wiring the Escort. When I had the Valentine, the Porsche guys did it once on a 993 and the aftermarket guys did it other times on two 911s. Both hid the cabling between the unit and fuse box quite well. This time, I have two rookies. I spoke to the Porsche factory technician who knows how to wire it with the signaled ignition but has never traced the cables from the unit to the fuse box. He has no creative idea how to hide the cables. Then we have the aftermarket guy who knows nothing of Porsche electronics but can hide the cabling to the fuse box. If he does it I may get some excitement thereafter.
What would you do?

Hey T Bone, Nice pictures. I just got my Max360 this week and so far I am very impressed. I'm using the Sticky Cup, but plan to order the BlendMount.

Yes, I can see the arrows.... I have it pointing straight forward. The detector sits basically as it is in the photos...not sure how much better I can describe it. I don't think the placement will affect performance so long as it has unobstructed views out the front and rear

Can someone post pics and or detail out the proper wires to connect/piggy-back whrn tapping into the rear vier mirror? Will I be able to do it wth my 997.2 (2012)? I havent looked at the wiring so I do not even know if I can on the 2012. Any pics or detailed infor is greatly appreciated. I m sick of running the power cord from the passenger cigarette power adapter!!!
And FYI I have been running my Passport MAX 360 and LOVE IT!! The thing is worth all the cost...it has saved me so many time and there are so many features at your disposal. Don't get my wrong, my Redline was a GREAT detector...but the MAX 360 is in an other world!

The power cord is the same but the mounting bracket is different. You can purchase the correct bracket to modify your current Blendmount to accommodate a Max 360 from Blendmount.
