Are all dealers given allocations (build slots) at the same time?

I sat with the sales manager and when he got on the Porsche AG allocation order site to modify my car. He showed me the freeze date of 12/11 and production date of 12/21. He made mention however that the date is subject to change. They currently are setting up to run all of the launch cars on the line first then customer orders are fed in after the launch vehicles. I suspect that is why they closed all 991.1 open allocations to pull forward the new car.

Are new cars being delivered to customers ONLY AFTER the official launch date of March 23?

I placed this order with my dealer on Monday, October 12. I think I have their first Targa 4S allocation.

Your Targa is a very nice build; it will look really sleek.
I would add these two small things: Sun Visors in Leather ($575), which is quite noticeable especially when the top is open; Seat Belts in Silver Grey ($540), which will match silver Targa roll bar.

Thanks for the comments and the suggestions. I'll play with the 3D configurator and see how they look.

Does anybody know if or when colored gauges will be available to order? I had originally specced out a 991.1 with beige gauges, but can't do so at this time with the 991.2,

I was told today by the GM of the dealership that no cars will be released for sale until after march 23rd or the official launch date even if by some chance my car arrives before that date. Also they are not willing to sign the final deal until after their launch party dictated by the delivery of their 2 launch cars whichever comes first. Looks like I will be anxiously awaiting her arival like the rest of us!

Count me in. http://www.porsche.com/microsite/por...px?c=/PHRAEKX4

Kind of standard coupe with the performance goodies and the premium plus package. Otherwise the interior is OEM. My first Porsche. Stoked to say the least!

Nice configuration and congrats! I hesitated between metallic black and Agate Grey. Seeing yours is almost making me reconsider...

I am also looking for the colored instrument gauges.... they are not on the configurator yet. I am sure your dealer will be able to confirm one way or the other at the time of the order freeze.... if you hear anything, please let us know... thank you

No discounts available in the UK (at least I couldn't get one). Just moved my order for a C2S over to a C4S, for which I'm being quoted a March delivery.
