I test drove a C2S that had the roof rack installed with the sunroof. It would only let me open it a little bit.

Either the roof is smart enough to know when the rails are installed, or it has pinch protection, similar to auto up windows except in reverse where if it detects pressure it stops opening and retracts a few mm.

Default GT Silver and Brown

Thanks for all the feedback, everyone. Resale isn't driving the decision here. We just like the brown so we're going with it. I found a couple of pictures of the combo elsewhere in the forums, and to me it looks great. Obviously, YMMV.

If you like it, that's all that matters -- looks like you've thoroughly research this configuration. Best of luck.

Great balance. You can't beat earth tones.

I remember reading a reply, from some other poster, regarding a similar topic and he said (paraphrasing) that he wasn't buying a Porsche for the next guy. He was buying it for himself, now.

I thought that it was a good point

I think it's a classic look and looks great! Silver is a neutral color and can pair with anything as long as there is healthy enough contrast to it. I think the browns fit perfectly

(Although I, personally, wouldn't go with the wood trim inside... There it does looks like "too many browns" going on and not enough contrast. I think the brushed aluminum would fit nicely...)

Right and a point that has nothing to do with resale value.

I am a big fan of the GT Silver/Espresso/Cognac (also agate grey with the same combination). It is a very "european" combination. GT Silver with Red/Black is classic and very "american". At the end of the day, it is all about what floats your boat. . the driver is fantastic!

Precisely my color combo order with a C4S. Don't worry about the negative opinions on the color combo. Trust me, although that color combo may be uncommon, it has harmony -- it works! In fact, it works well. It looks like BLING - platinum and gold!

And the only reason it is uncommon is because most people prefer to be gregarious by sticking with status quo. Express yourself! Kudos!

No change during the month of September. 6 weeks since I placed my deposit, no sign of build allocation. Grumble. The dealer claims that this is somewhat unusual.

I'm out of the waiting room as of last week. Here she is at Atlanta PEC just after being unveiled. I'll post a thread in the next day or two about my PEC experience, but wanted to sign off this thread with full closure.
