I'm in suburban Chicago, and my order is for a Targa 4S. My dealer tells me he's only seeing allocations right now for two wheel drive cars. I've been told I'm their first order for a Targa 4S, so hopefully soon. Not really in a hurry though.

If you consider the official launch for the U.S. market is March 23, that seems very good to me.... I placed my order for a base cab at the end of September and have been told mine will be produced in April...

I was told my Estimated freeze point for my order is 01/07/2016, with build in Feb and delivery sometime at the end of March. I have the first slot for a C4S at my dealer in New Hampshire.

New wheels on the configurator?
Are the 20" Carrera Sport Wheels new in the configurator (or the C4S)? I don't think I remember seeing it before. As my freeze data approaches these new options showing up are hard to deal with .
I was planning to go with the default wheels (20" Carrera S Wheels), but these sport ones look quite nice....

I changed to a C4S because I wanted The 20" Carrara Sport wheels that just appeared and PTV. PTV is standard on the C4S and the wheel option is less and I dropped the cosmetics I had chosen on the C4. I did choose the black tach no cost option as I don't like silver gauges.

What my car will look like, per the configurator, if I ever get my allocation. Comments on the beige gauges (yay or nay) as opposed to black appreciated. The sport chrono gauge will remain black.

Stunning car! Since you ask, IMHO I think black or white gauges might go better with your color scheme. I think the beige gauges might be too "matchy" with the brown interior. Additionally, I think the gauges and the sport chrono clock need to be the same color.
Whatever you go with, it will be a stunning, fun car
PS: in the interest of full disclosure, I am going with white gauges and clock...

Very very nice!
I agree that the gauges and Sport Chrono should match but the beige gauges just set the interior off!
One of the best looks I have seen so far!
Me, I like Red, my wife doesn't like Guards Red, so Carmine Red it is!
But that is another look altogether.-Richard
