The X-Pipe alone on a Base Non-PSE car is a subtle but nice improvement on the sound. A little throatier with some additional burble/overrun. It pairs very well with our header and muffler upgrades if you'd like to gain more sound in the future from it.
Let's chat some more about your options, PM heading your way

You cannot use a Valved X-Pipe with the factory Base Non-PSE mufflers/tips as they do not allow for proper routing of the valve open exhaust flow out of the bumper outlets. We do offer a complete Valvetronic Exhaust System for the Base Non-PSE that includes our Valvetronic X-Pipe, PSE-Style Maxflo Mufflers, and PSE-Style Deluxe Tips.

what is the sound comparison between PSE VALVES OPEN, vs just the X-pipe?
