Definitely would not opt out of a 991 for fixed-wing, right Pavegeno?

Very nice, I picked up on the prop and the cowling from looking at lots of pictures. Enjoy and fly safe!

I'm an addict of both... been a pilot since I was a teenager and fulfilled my dream of building my own airplane. Been flying it for 12yrs now and just bought my first Porsche last week. 2013 C4S with 2600mi on it.

No, not an SLSA. It is a Lancair 320 kit plane. 215mph and 35mpg. Awesome traveling machine!

Similar conversation over here: https://rennlist.com/forums/aviation/871857-porsche-or-plane.html

Flying since '98. Dad flew. So did grandpa. Flying a Diamond DA40 these days--sort of. You see, I took the company car 2 years ago thinking it would free up money to rent--and it did. My budget was about $1200 a month or 6 hours.
The flying was great but the company car was killing me. Just awful. After 18 months I threw in the towel--being a car guy, I could not do the Fusion any longer. Ordered a GTS in June.

Already miss flying but my 5 year plan includes buying a plane--so before long: will have both.

BTW, the AOPA suggests most private pilots fly (much) less than 100 hrs a year. Porsche = drive every day. But then, if you love flying, and it's a passion, you need to follow your heart!!

I fly airplanes so that I can afford my Porsches. My old FAA medical doc had one of those Porsche Mooney's before he offed himself several years back. This is my current airplane:

and a couple of my old ones:

Very Cool. I am thinking about it again lol. Especially after all the cool pictures. I can make it happen. I would love to have just a Piper J3 to take up on nice days flying local VFR and sight seeing.

thanks for the upgade opportunity then! Although I love the 71, its the most uncomfortable plane I have ever flown and can't wait to get back to the 737 when my freeze is up next summer.

Quick Reply: Plane vs car for fun. I opted for the car.
