When does fan come on ?
How hot does your engine need to be after you cut the car off ?
I have only had my car about a month, and after driving it my fan has yet to come on.

Mine usually stays on after I drive in sport mode and drive it fairly hard even if I then take it easy for a minute or two as I drive through the neighborhood where I don't go over 30MPH. I do drive with the transmission in manual mode and rarely get below 2800 RPMs.

I have only noticed mine come on once. During the summer when it got fairly hot ( for Victoria), I pulled into my garage and heard a loud, high-pitched whine, which I realized was the cooling fans coming on. When they do, you'll know it!

Specific temps for fan operation:
Operating condition: Engine switched off
If the engine has been switched off, the fans can run for up to 25 minutes in order to purge the engine compartment.
Setting 2 runs at an engine temperature > 180° F. (82° C.) until the temperature in the engine compartment has fallen to < 158° f. (70° C.). The fan motors run at fan setting 1 until the engine temperature is < 113° F. (45° C.) in order to reduce the temperature further.
Operating condition: Interruption of fan operation
Fan operation is interrupted if any of the following situations occur:
• Engine compartment lid open
• Cabriolet only: convertible top open
• Battery voltage < 10 volts
