Default I'm so angry with...

....myself.
Went to pick up my daughter at school and whilst distracted I drove over a low curb.
I grazed the wheel on the curb as it slid off.

Apart from the graze I the wheel a small chunk of rubber broke off.
I'm so pissed with myself.

Now that I've calmed down, 2 questions

1. How can I fix the wheel.?
2. Is the tyre safe to keep driving on?

Help me please.

1. Yes, the wheel can easily be repaired. I suspect that you'll be able to find a wheel repair shop in your area. In my area they even have a mobile wheel repair that dealers routinely use to repair curb rash.
2. As far as the tire is concerned, I can't determine the damage from your picture. I expect the tire is fine, but to be certain have it checked out by a local tire shop.

Agreed.

Stateside (tyres?), there are many mobile fix it outfits that can repair that minor rash without wheel or tire removal.

Done on another car of mine, identical damage, involved lightly Dremel power sanding it down, airbrush paint spray to blend and then a clear coat. About 50 ish bucks, less than half an hour and as good as new. No problem with the repair after a couple thousand miles....

Also was damaged coming out of the kids school carpool lane... DOHHHHH. Take the school bus dammit...

Do a Google search in your area.

If you can't fix it to your satisfaction and end up buying a new one - you can turn the old one into a garden hose reel! Ask me how I know - although mine is a BMW one!

A quality wheel repair will be about $150.

I think I can see the tire damage in the lower left corner. That's the extra meat Pirelli puts on the front tires. Lucky for you, that size (245/35/20) is readily available. If it were mine, I'd replace it ($251), and keep it as an emergency spare.

That's it Lex. It came of the part of the tyre that seem to stick out a bit.

In have 9500 kms on the car. If I were to replace then I would have to change both fronts? Correct?
I was hoping to hold out for the N rated michelins that are expected soon.

9500 kms = about 5,900 miles. That's nothing for a front tire that will probably go over 30,000 miles on the front of a new 911. At the very worst, you buy one tire now, and if there's a problem, buy the second one. Or, if you have a good tire supplier in Africa (like Tire Rack here in the USA) they could shave the new tire to match the old tire.

That chunk of rubber is 100% cosmetic. Can't stand the reminder? Then replace it. But there's no functional reason for doing so.

A company called Turbax in Miami is hands down the best! I've used them several times and people ship their wheels to them nationwide. Speak with sergio, called him today...need I say more!

So I checked with my P dealer and they referred me to the company that does their work and is Porsche approved.

Apparently the entire wheel had to be sanded down and repainted and they cannot do a touch up.
Need to keep the wheels with them for 4-5 days!

Now I have to take the tim to them whist my car lies disabled in the garage

I was wishing for this answer. Are you 100% sure it's safe ??
Did notice that only the front tire has that ridge that protrudes.
Here is another pic of it.
