Great link! I have to admit....I was not a big fan of the duck on my new '15 C4S. It has now very much grown on me, though.

OK, dumb question time:

I've never seen a pic of a duck tail raised. Do they not raise up?

They're always raised

It's a fixed and stationary spoiler. In other words, it doesn't move.

They are fixed and don't raise up. If it does not have the ducktail or Aero package, than it has the factory spoiler that raises and lowers. Ducktails and Aero wing ducktail combo are fixed.

Thanks fellas, I suspected this, but never looked into it.

Probably should have, before I ordered.

Thats just how I built mine STG. Actually the red one above. Love both looks. Its funny in my parts, you never see either on a Carrera. Wonder if more dislike them than like them.

You bet. There are options to do it after the fact but either way it can cost quite a bit. Going factory OEM parts its way more.

I agree, not too common. Dislike or don't know about them? Not many dealers order them for lot cars, and a lot of Porsche buyers tend to be more conservative in their tastes. Anyway, all the better for those who have them. I don't like to look like the norm anyway.

To me it's a sporty sports car. To others, a sporty country club boulevard cruiser.

Whatever floats your boat!

Exactly, I agree! A friend of mine has a Carrera 4S with the duck tail. I talking to her and a mid 20s guy comes walking over. He wanted to know if it was custom. He goes, I love it! I have never seen a Carrera with that kind of tail on it. And I know my 911s lol She says that car gets a lot of attention.

I still dont know what to make of the Aerokit Cup spoiler - when I first walked in to order, it was a must have, then it started looking a bit strange to me with two different pieces. I wasn't sure if I only like it because it was a Porsche product or not, because I know if I saw two spoilers on any other lesser car, I'd probably laugh.

In the end I opted for just the Sport Design Package since I can always add the Cup kit later on. I was also deterred by the fact that it sits even lower in front and roads here are horrendous.

I actually dont think the aerokit cup reduces the clearance any more than the SD ... PASM-Sport does however lower the car and additional 10mm over regular PASM but that is a separate option I believe

totally - for me I like the duck (but not on cabriolets), but the aerokit cup is a bit too 'fussy' for my liking... YMMV

I actually swapped the Sport Design front splitter/lip for the aerokit cup front part as I think it looks much better than the SD part...
