New Escort 360
Did you guys see this announcement? Looks like Escort finally has arrows. Guess I won't be updating my V1, but buying one of these instead:

Looks like MikeV's patent finally expired... now he'll actually have to go back to the drawing board for the first time in 20 years.

He doesn't care at this point. He already has his 918 Spyder and a 991 Turbo S, and lives the life of a wealthy man. His famous "Yellow Bird" 993 Turbo S is now owned by my neighbor Richard, and its quite a car as well.

He squeezed that orange as dry as it gets. Great product 10 years ago. No innovation since. Escort will take it to a whole new level. Just my opinion of course.

That basically summarizes my reaction. The arrows were a really nice innovation and I like knowing if the trouble is in front or behind (sides never seemed relevant except to diagnose a false). But Valentine seems to have stopped innovating - or has been doing much less than escort - in recent years.

since the screen they are located in is the same size or larger than the one on the V1, why are its directional indicators teeny weeny arrowheads ?
this info is relayed in your peripheral vision so it should be provided without requiring potentially dangerous " eyes off the road " staring and refocusing..imagine trying to view these in a convertible on a sunny day , mounted at a distance on the passenger visor ...where the large V1 arrows have no problem being seen , from personal experience

Can't think of a more deserving fellow, in all seriousness. Many of us owe our licenses to Mike Valentine. Laufet, Brüder, and get back to work!

agree....for every dollar I have " contributed " to his car buying fund over the years , he has probably " returned " 5-10 x that to me in tickets and secondary insurance premium bumps avoided...the " bogey counter" has been as useful as the arrows for me , as CHP sometimes work in pairs or even trios on our highways , on both sides of the road at the same time , esp holiday periods

I'd like to see them build that technology plus the range of the redline into it. I also wonder why they haven't done it. I'm still sticking with my Redline/smartcord/app setup - at least until some reviews are done.

991 owners dont need that " posted speed / your speed " feature , as we already have that as standard in the MFD in our gauge cluster

With the Max2 and I am sure with this one you can change the display and not include that. I do not have that on my Max2 but it is an option.
