Default Skene Design Front License Plate Holder

Anyone have pictures or experience with the Skene Design front license plate holder on a standard 991 front? Do the screws go under the lowest part of the car (i.e. they would be the first things that would touch if the front hit a high slope), or are they mounted midway up in the upper edge of the "hole" on the front in the middle? Pictures or advice most welcome! Thanks for the advice!

Here's an install on a TT. I mounted it fairly low. I have used Skene Design plate holders for many years and they have always worked great. No visible holes.

Thanks. Very helpful. Di you get the "extra short" arms like they recommended for the 911? Now that you've done it, would you have ideally ordered a slightly longer set of arms so the plate wouldn't tilt down as much or do you like it tilting down because it allows the plate to be very close and tucked away? Thanks for the info and your thoughts!

The Skene looks like an interesting solution. Were there any issues with Park Assist?

I wouldn't use that if you have the powerkit and its covering the center opening.

Might not be visible to EZPass or whatever your area uses for automatic toll paying?

Good angle to avoid it being used as a target for radar and laser guns.

I have C2S with powerkit and have mounted the Skene bracket a little higher so it does not block the radiator air flow. Also, no issue with the park assist sensors.

What size bracket did you use? Their web site says to use the extra short on the 991

Hi..

This is an old thread. I measured as directed and I got between 1.5 and 1.6 inches depending on how you do it which indicates short. I think xtra short is too short.. I have not installed it
permanently but fiddled with it and I think that is a good size.

I had a medium left over from when I had a BMW and it works great on my 991.2.

I installed the skene bracket over a year ago with zero issues. It does not interfere with the parking sensors. I recommend using the medium bracket. It uses a combination of tape and bracket surface to secure. The medium gives you adequate bearing surface where the short will not. I believe it is a great solution for avoiding front bumper holes.
Here are a couple of pics.
