Default Torquing Center Lock Wheels

Just wondering - any torquing wrench will have a + or - margin of error. If you happen to use a torque multiplier, the margin of error is even greater. Question becomes should you err on the side of over torquing Center Lock Wheels or under torquing them. Would think over torquing is better than under torquing, but how much is too much?

There was a discussion in the GT3 forum regarding this, and it was deduced from experimenting with the emergency tightening procedure specified by Porsche in the owner's manual that the torque obtained using it ranged from 480 ft.lbs to 550 ft.lbs to reach the stop point. This indicates that the emergency procedure will always ensure you exceed the specified torque of 443 ft.lbs., so over-tightening is not a problem, by as much as 30%, and is preferred to under-tightening. This was confirmed with a dealer service department.
