I had my car in for an update of the PCM and service about three weeks ago and was upgraded to version 4.76.

How did you get it upgraded? Mine is version 4.63, which I told to the SA and he said he looked up the car by VIN and there are no updates. My car is a 14 C4S

What does the update from 4.63 to 4.76 do?

I recently bought the car and there was a recall on the PCM S/W.

Mine was also upgraded to 4.76 from 4.41 this week. Advisor said there was a campaign to make the XM radio more reliable... or something like that.

When I took mine in for an oil change and PCM software upgrade, I was told they could not upgrade unless I had a complaint. After some negotiation they upgraded my 4.75 to 4.76

Looks like I have to go in with a complaint!

Pretty ridiculous if you ask me - why can't they just upgrade it?

Does complaining that you're not on 4.76 count?

I am taking mine in Monday and my SA already has me spotted for the upgrade, I did not have to say I had any problems. My SA is always pretty good about this so I am pretty lucky.

What kind of complain would get them to upgrade the software?

Doesn't updating the maps also upgrade the PCM?

I'm on 4.75. Car Build completed in July 2015.

What's the difference between 4.75 and 4.76?
