Power steering plus?
Is it noticeable? And, is it worth adding to 2016 GTS rwd?

My SA talked me into getting it. They floorplan all the dealer cars with it so I could only test drive one with it -- couldn't compare to without.
I'd say that at any sort of speed where you'd care it's out of the equation anyway so it's not going to negatively impact your performance driving. But at parking lot speeds it does make things artificially light feeling. That may be a positive to some people (most people?), and it doesn't really have any drawbacks. But I like my steering to feel race-car unassisted heavy in parking lots, for no other reason than it makes me feel like a stud-muffin who can wrestle a manly car around. I cut my teeth on light sportscars with unassisted steering and I should have gone with my gut on this and nixed PSP on the order form.
Again, no impact where it matters; just in the parking lots.

As a city dweller, it's a big benefit for me (I do a 3-point turn each time I turn into my driveway). I'd guess it's of less benefit in the suburbs, but I don't think there's any real-life downsides either. And the cost is pretty small.

People who have it, like it.
People who don't have it, don't miss it.
Chuck991 has neither, but will be here soon with lots of opinions and YouTube videos.

+1 I have it and like it. It is very useful for me given I have to navigate tight parking arrangements. I'm driving a Cayman S loaner today that doesn't have it and - shockingly - I don't like the heavy steering at low speeds.
Also my wife needs to be able to drive my car and this helps a ton. She drives with only one hand on the wheel much to my chagrin.

I recently drove a GTS4 without it and liked the extra weight even at parking speeds. It made the car feel more substantial, but wasnt OTT.
I've asked my dealer if it can be turned off on my C4S and they say yes, but they cant guarantee it can be reactivated - Porsche UK also dont seem to know if it can be re-enabled, which seems madness to me. If they don't know how it works who does!
Anyone got any practical experience with this as I'd really like to try it turned off?
Thanks.

I liked the weight of the steering in the GTS4 much more than mine across the board at all speeds. I know it's only meant to impact the feel at low speeds, but I am still keen to try mine without it. It just made it feel more like a sportscar, but without being stupidly hard work.
