Default Gaining interest in Sport bucket seats

We are in the process putting together an order for Sport Bucket seats with Porsche. For the moment we will assume they will be priced around the same as the current 997 Sport Buckets.

For serious inquiries send us a PM or an email at parts@suncoastparts.com

just to confirm we are we talking about the *current* sports buckets RoW found in 991's (which are essentially the 997 seats wired for the 991 electrics) or the Sports Buckets in the 991 GT3/RS/GT4?

What do the 997s cost? And is it possible to get the folding back version in sea blue? I don't have a black interior so if I go to a seat for the track, if I can't get them to match my interior I'll likely go aftermarket with a safer, lighter seat. Thanks for working on this you guys are a great benefit to the community.

Thanks, so we'd likely have to have a flash and install by a Porsche dealer. Probably $11k when all is said and done.

Had them in my 2011 Spyder. Will only adjust front and rear. You cannot recline or adjust up or down. Took me a while to get use to them. Wife hated them. Very difficult to get in and out. Much happier with the fully adjustable seats in my 991.

+1 Had them in my Spyder also and the fact that the backrest was not adjustable made them VERY uncomfortable. Plus the high bolster started to wear very quickly trying to climb in and out constantly, and 'climb' is definitely the right word to use there. Great for a track car, not so great if you plan on more than getting into and out of the car once during the day. Found I drove the car less and less since I dreaded repeatedly having to get in and out during the course of the day.

So ... (again) are we talking about the new buckets (918, GT3, GT4) or the old style 997 buckets wired for 991s?

I will buy regardless of whether this is the 997 sport bucket or 991 sport bucket.

Here is what I need: folding, non-reclining, provisions for shoulder harnesses, slot for sub belt, black leather. Would like to spend less than $8k.

Yes, the 991 GT3 or 997 GT2 seat would both physically fit, but my issue is the warning lights and airbag issue in my 991 Carrera S coupe.

I think you misunderstood me, there is a version of the 997 sports bucket that is compatible with the 991 wiring it was just not an option in the US... only RoW, I believe this is what suncoast are referring to

They are talking about the new seats according to the GT3 forum post and the reference that they'll be priced similarly to the 997. Nkhalidi doesn't really care about price he's in it to impress strippers, money no object.

Right, the point of my initial post was that I don't care whether it's a 997 GT2 or or 991 GT3 seat or a JDM dorifto special, I just want a race seat that allows access to the rear, doesn't trigger lights in my U.S.-spec car, and impresses even the most jaded of strippers.
