You'll have a great trip. If you can, stop at the Villa D'Este on the southern tip of Lake Como for a drink (or breakfast on your way to Lausanne). It's one of those bucket list places to bring your wife. It'll go a long way to her forgiveness for the way you've been driving! Enjoy.

Seriously, I gave the IRS over a year's worth of lease payments in (additional)
taxes, so I decided (somewhat after the fact) not to blow another $20k on the
vacation ... hence we shortened it from 14 days to 9

Sounds like cutting back on shoe shopping while in Europe was not an option

Flying out to Frankfurt tomorrow night, ICE to Stuttgart staying at the Althoff am Steingarten...

Museum on Sunday, and (a big f*** off steak and red wine) lunch at Christoporus afterwards.

Monday am factory tour and delivery!
