All good... I think most of the guys here are in the same boat re: crisis but it is more about overall WAF (wife approval/acceptance factor) vs involvement in the actual details/specifications and options. Either way congrats on the order!

If you built your car as a GTS, and selected the silver wheels, you'd have the car you want for less money, plus the benefit of the GTS goodies.
You could spin it as saving money for college fund, trip to Paris, retirement, diamond earrings, etc... which usually wins the wife over.

EDIT: Just noticed the OPs later post stating that the GTS would be $12,000 more than his car.

The wider body, CL wheels and power kit is not something I wanted on a non GT 911. I think the the wider body and CL wheels makes sense on the GT3 and other better options to upgrade HP and Torque than what a P kit offers. Each to his own. Enjoy the new ride you made the right choice.

We have been married for 26 years this year....we both make money....and we chose this car together. I compromised on some things, she did as well. How long have you been married?

Well if it's an "our" car that makes sense. I didn't see that in any of your posts indicating that. Like I stated if it was YOUR car and YOUR money then it would be foolish. And to answer your question 42 years.... relevance?

Even if it weren't "our" car, the "relevance" or your un-elicited advice suggests that you are insensitive to the wants/opinions of a spouse, or a domineering personality.....or maybe both. Truth is I posted to share our build and could care less if anyone thinks the value I place in my wife's opinions matters.

Huh? The base price of an C2S Cab is $110,800 and the base price of a GTS Cab is $127,095 and, since the OP didn't order the PoWwer Kit, there is no way a similarly equipped GTS Cab will be cheaper than a C2S Cab.
EDIT: Just noticed the OPs later post stating that the GTS would be $12,000 more than his car.

I am not insensitive, I spend MY money how I want, my wife spends HER money how she wants, our joint accounts/retirement accounts never get touched for bull****.
Either way, congrats on the build and best of luck with the car.
FWIW, I was partially trolling/joking.
