Sweet! Congrats. A damn fine automobile.

Just checked my email. Nothing. Always the bridesmaid. No surprise.

The way I read the rules were...48 hrs to say you want it.
BUT don't have to Buy it until it is Delivered.
You've got plenty of time!!

Spouse will be fine. She does of course know you'll be taking her to Parade now every year, especially any far enough away to give you a shot at winning the coveted "drove the furthest" award, right? You guys are gonna have a blast!

I don't understand the direction to not contact the dealership. I thought you had 24 hrs to negotiate before making a commitment.

I don't think the club color is very appealing. I'd order a gts red one and call it a day... Unless of course you want the prestige of owning the club coupe

As I understand there were 1150 applicants. They do a random draw of 59 and send those first emails. As people refuse/turn down they randomly draw more names and repeat the process until all 59 cars are taken.

Default Me too

Ooof - I got the email too.

Just to be clear, you don't contact the dealer, you respond back to PCA National, confirming interest to purchase and specifying the dealer with whom you'd like to negotiate.

Probably like 1100 other people, I thought, "nice car... I'll enter... what are the chances?"

I'm in. Now the big question is, is this a financially stupid decision? I think the answer is 'no' and that this is arguably a more desirable car than the 50th anniversary Club Coupe (being based on a GTS and all). But interested in confirming or conflicting thoughts.

This is NOT, by the way, what I thought I'd be wrestling with today when this week began yesterday morning!

If you can, do it. Doesn't look like you are stuck in a current depreciation waterfall of a 991 right now, so if you have the moxy go for it. The 991 CC is a great deal - you get a GTS, wide-body, special color and stuff for a great price. Unique for now, if nothing else....

Yeah - the color kind of does it for me and if I were buying a new 991, i'd be buying a RWD GTS coupe, so it checks a bunch of wish-list boxes.

The good news about my 993 is it's most certainly NOT depreciating! I doubt this will jump in value, but holding value would be great. I'm trying to wean myself off of expensive depreciating assets (regardless of how beautiful or fun they may be).

Buying any car is usually a financially stupid decision.

As for the 991, it now has so many variants that the GT3 is probably the only model that one might consider as being unique.

In my humble opinion, I would pass on this "offer".
