Default HOT FOR SALE: Pick of the Week 991

As others have suggested, I like looking at used cars and run across some that look like good deals.

Have no interest or anything in the game with these. If I like the car and think it's a decent deal and worth looking at I'll post it. All will be under 100K

Hopefully some guys looking at a used 991 can benefit!

I was once in that boat last year.

Default RUN. DO NOT buy this 911 !

The price seems decent for the milage and build but it's been sitting for a bit and the price has dropped a few times. Would love some more experienced insight to see if I'm missing something.
That's too cheap. I paid $106k for my '15 4S with 17k. There's always a reason....

They don't offer a carfax, but do an Autocheck. Autocheck is BS and never reports correctly (cars with accidents say no accidents). Shady dealers use them on purpose for that reason and to legally stand by "but we use Autocheck so we had no knowledge", but unless you're a fellow dealer you have access to see what they know behind the scenes...
I still have all my access from when I was a dealer:
RUN. DO NOT buy this car lol.

Issue #1: They just tried to run it back to the dealer auction with 29,8xxx miles and no one bid on it, and you'll see why in a second.

Issue #2: It was ran with cleared codes and readiness not set. There IS an issue that they either cannot fix or will cost too much to. There WILL be a check engine light on, for who knows what, within the next maybe 50miles of purchase. I see it has aftermarket exhaust too, so at first I thought it may be missing cats, but that wasn't disclosed at the dealer auction. That means it will be a nasty surprise for someone, whatever it is.

Issue #3: Title is branded (forever) as a stolen and recovered vehicle. Not the end of the world but may be a hurdle for resale. That also did pop up on the Autocheck, surprisingly, but it was burried deep in the info. It'll be front and center in Red on the Carfax with the accident (you'll know more about that below lol).

(Possible Issue)#4: I'm unable to pull a Carfax at the moment but there was 110% a substantial accident or two. Someone else may need to pull it for you.

Issue #5: (!!!!!!!!) There are a great deal of repairs and paint work from damage (see below). The front bumper, driver fender, driver door, driver quarter panel, rear bumper, and passenger quarter were all repaired and painted. Holy cow batman. If for some reason that's not reported on Carfax, that's an even bigger issue and you WILL find hidden damaged goods...

Note: They list that the build had 20" Sport Design wheels, which is not what's on the car now. They could have gotten destroyed in the accident and replaced with these 991.2 RS Spyder wheels it has now.

PS. This is all without even looking at the car in person. I carry my paint meter in my daily driver just in case still too, just in case. If anyone ever needs a professional eye on a car physically in the NJ area, let me know. $200

You can see this in their pictures too:

^ Obvious signs the front bumper was caved in too.

I possibly do not have the time to update these when these cars are not available or sold either.

Most likely will be private sellers, major brand dealers, or Porsche dealers. Don't know enough or trust many of these independent used dealers.

-------------

Side note:

** When I first started shopping for my 911, I didn't want to take the new car hit. Didn't want to spend over 100K, and just tried to save money and find a great preowned 991S! I have champagne taste, but like to save $$$ too!

While none of these cars might be anyone's "perfect build", you need to compromise a little if wanting to buy preowned and save money. There are way too many custom options! If you're that picky, you might as well order new. No need to criticize the ones for sale here. At a 30-40K savings, there's not much to complain about!

--------------------

Everyone will have to do their due diligence if interested.

Only posting low mileage cars! Usually under 10K, but no more than 20K

Thanks.

Thanks for posting these cars - I'm sure that many of us, while not actually in the market for a new car, do enjoy perusing details of interesting Porsches for sale. In this instance, Loeber has been around "since dirt" - I remember drooling over MBs when I was in my 20s and living in the Chicago suburbs. Of course that was 40 years ago - so they must be in business for what, 50 years? Probably can't go wrong with a car they'd sell.

The only thing I don't like about these is seeing how completely screwed my n00b *** got when I bought mine. Impulse car buying based on emotion = epic fail.

Great Rennlist buddy who just traded the C2S for a black GT3. He's taking reasonable offers.
