Default 991.2 dashboard spy photo

Looks like they have moved the sport and sport plus buttons to the steering wheel....and change the PDK to the correct way around...I.e pull back to change up and push forward to change down...hooray.

Maybe I'm alone with this opinion, but I like the current sport design steering wheel more.

In my (very) humble opinion, the interior looks cheaper than ever.
When you compare the standard interior of any other car in its price point, the 991 interior is simply underwhelming.

Not alone at all! I think this is the apogee of Porsche wheel design, ever.

I have both wheels, the sport design wheel on my 4S and the new 918 based wheel on my Macan....and IMHO, there is light and day between the two with regards to ease of use and convenience. I also prefer the look of the new 918 wheel.

Is the screen in the 991.2 actually bigger or is it just a different design... ie. flush vs the current models having the bezel/surround?

It looks like it's flush mounted with the bezel eliminated to accommodate a bigger screen.

I have the sport design w/paddles and am a fan of the Macan wheel but is it just me or at some angles does it look like a 70's GM steering wheel with extra negative space between the top of the horn and the top of the wheel? Something just isn't right.

Yeah not sure about that, in this pic you can clearly see that the screen is flush but there still appears to be a bezel/surround underneath. This would make for a smoother look but screen size itself appears to be the same.

As I look closer, I think you may be right.

It looks like an iPad!!

I don't like the way they've cut off the vents on the top of the PCM on the current 991 and 991.2

This PCM looks less integrated and more like they leaned up an iPad in front of the shifter.
