Default downsized TT replaces NA, sounds great and goes fast

OK, this is not a 991, but Harris' illustrations of the technology in this German car that gives its turbocharged engine outstanding sound and response, and better performance and economy might just tell us something relevant to the 991.2. The engineering of the sound starting at around 13.00 shows how manageable sound can be, and a bit later the details of heat managment around the turbos is pretty cool. Yeah yeah re the oversteer - even Harris makes good fun with it.

There's something about the layout and geometry of horizontally opposed straight 6 (or 4) that no matter how it's massaged or tuned simply cannot put out the tunes of a V engine.

Even blowers don't alter the analysis very much when it comes to noise.
