Default New to me, 991 2013 C4 (991/993 picture comparison)

I’ve been a Rennlist member for a long time, primarily on the 993 forum since I currently have a 1997 993 Targa in perfect condition with 47k miles. Owned it since 2003. But in the last 7 months have been constantly on this forum as I had been searching for a 991 C4 and wanted to hear about user experiences, etc.

Well two weeks ago I found my car in New Jersey (I live in Michigan). So I thought I would share some first day pictures as others seem to do when their new arrival shows up. Nothing earth shattering or creative, just documented the 991 minutes off the transport truck. I didn’t want to pick it up as the weather in the mid-west and east have not exactly been nice lately. It’s a 2013, C4, 6,200 miles.

I purchased it from Maserati of Bergen County in NJ, and I have to say these guys were extremely nice and accommodating in every way possible. They made the interstate transaction very easy to do. And with a Porsche dealer practically next door to them (the same dealer where the car was originally purchased under 2 years ago), they handled getting the car there and back from the Porsche PPI inspection. I did not physically go there so I bought it remotely. They did a live walk-around the car with me though on an iPad using FaceTime

I’m keeping my 993 tucked away except for a few Sunday drives, as 993 values are tending to go up nowadays. I’m sure the 991 will never go up in value from what I paid, so I will enjoy this as my daily driver summer car (along with my Audi Q5 for really nasty days).

I haven’t driven it yet other than up my driveway from the transport truck, as I just got it today and the roads and weather were just not nice. So tomorrow I take it to fill up the tank and maybe see what M1 (Woodward Ave) feels like.
A general thanks for all who post on this forum as many of the topics were very helpful to me.

The options on the car:

C4, Platinum Silver, Manual transmission
Sport Exhaust
18-way Adaptive seats
Burmester Sound system
20” Carrera Classic Wheels
Premium Package Plus
Window trim High Gloss Aluminum
Rear Park Assist
Sport Chrono
Glass Sunroof
Power Steering Plus
Electric Folding Mirrors
Porsche Crest on Headrests
Multifunction Steering Wheel
Attached Images

Not sure what happened when I posted, as I uploaded and previewed the images and all looked good. So I edited the post. Pics attached now.

Probably not. Who knows. My grandparents immigrated from Italy in the 1920's.
I'm 62 now.

Ha! I was watching this car (like you, from a distance) and was disappointed to see it disappear from my watch list, but I wasn't quick enough in pulling the trigger. Glad to see it went to another forum member! This is the only used 991 I've run across with Burmester. Now that the car is sold, I need to get the guys from Maserati of Bergen County to stop e-mailing me . Enjoy it!

Looks great - the high gloss aluminum trim looks great w the platinum paint. C4's are much harder to find than C4S's. Glad you found one! Enjoy it.
I put Michelin pilot alpin winter tires on my C4S on my 20 in wheels and it is a dream in the snow. A little softer ride, but for the cold months it's great. Something to consider up there in MI.
Would love a pic of it next to your targa...awesome!

Rookie question. Some 991's have a the long taillight connection between the two rear taillights. Is that an option or does that come standard on certain models? I like the look of yours. Very nice.

The red light bar across the back is standard on the C4/C4S/C4 GTS models.
