Default Rear Badging

First Post! I recently purchased a 2012 991S in GT Silver with Carrera Classic II wheels as my first Porsche. It was a long time coming and I'm very excited to own such a beautifully engineered vehicle. On to my question:

My car has the full "Porsche 911 Carrera S" badging on the back and I'm considering changing it up a bit. Leaning toward simply "911S" or "Porsche 911S". I'm considering painting the badge in Agate Gray to contrast against the GT Silver paint instead of the chrome standard. I'm wondering 2 things:

1) Is the inner color of my Carrera Classic II wheels Agate Gray?

2) Has anyone seen a rear badge in Agate on GT Silver?

May end up sticking with the stock chrome but I think this could look nice.

Let's see some car pics!

Congrats on the car. Same year and color as yours here.

Some good examples here including mine (painted gray)

I thinks I would go with Carrera S only (no PORSCHE as well) as it alway used to be...

Having the "911" only is also a factory option instead of the short story..

Hi, I have a 2013 991S and I have the factory fitted 911 in lieu of the Porsche normal badging. I think it really doesn't matter what you do, the car is still a ripper. Stay safe mate.

You can get these custom painted badges from Eric at BumperPlugs. Great guy and vendor.

I simply removed "Porsche" leaving "911 Carrera S" where it came from the factory.

Your new toy looks great.

Congrats again on the car.

I hear you on the rear emblem badging.

To be honest, the 997 in my opinion had it perfect as far as scale and location.

I removed the "911 Carrera S" and simply left it like that for a while. I actually liked it and felt the big P O R S C H E was enough. Then started to get the what is it? A 911? A Boxter? One of those new fangled Macans?

So then I just went with a nice clean "911" below the Porsche. Then I got the "Hey, is that the new Turbo?" Is that an S or not? Funny, but ok.

So ultimately I just went with this. Who knows, maybe I'll change it up again some time soon.

Very nice! I haven't gotten my car back yet but I decided on leaving Porsche and simply doing 911S below. I also stuck with the stock chrome instead painted.

We will see once she comes back.

Cool.
You'll love the car.

Remember, the cars (991) Carreras that come from the factory with model delete, ie:

P O R S C H E

9 1 1

The 911 emblem they use is a larger version than the 911 that is used in the back like you see on mine.

Post pics when you get her.

Correction. Model delete is only:

P O R S C H E

Marcus, I even think Porsche charges for the "911" when you do the delete model designation. Right?
