Sports Plus Function Question
Hey All - As I understand it, the 'sports plus' setting changes the suspension and shift timing. Does it have any other effect if I have the PDK switched into manual shift mode and the suspension already set to stiff mode? Does it have any effect on throttle mapping?
For the record, I assume that the shift timing will be optimized if I leave the PDK in Auto when in SP mode. This is more a point of curiosity than a question of max possible performance.
Thanks,
Tim

The throttle map should be more aggressive. Other than that in the condition you described I don't think you'll notice much of a difference beyond that. The secondary oil cooling will be active (I'm not sure if it's on/off or graduated, but it's on in regular sport mode as well).

In "SportPlus" with Chrono on a PDK car the throttle response is faster and the shifts are harder and later in manual while SportPlus is on.
It's easy to feel the difference. Just drive the car in manual in Sport and manually shift at redline under full throttle (detent or not) and do the same in SportPlus and the car literally "throws" forward on shifts in SportPlus. Even your grandma would notice the difference from the passenger seat. All my gramma's are dead now but I'm just saying that's how obvious it is. Happy motoring.
