Default What kind of deals can be had on a 991S?

Hey guys, haven't been on in ages. I was shocked that I still remember my login and user id. I am interested in getting back into a Porsche 991S. I've been on the BMW side the last 4 years with a E92 M3 and would like to know what kind of discounts are their. I sold my 997.1S back in 2010 and I am on my second E92 M3.

Hey Dave,

I'm in the same boat as you...I went from a 997 to an E90 M3 and now my BMW lease is up and I'm looking at a new 991. 5-10% seems ok, I guess that covers our sales tax.

Is anyone else getting any better? Is there any trunk money, rebates, holiday credit etc?

Thanks!

If someone has a contact person you can PM me I would appreciate it. I got almost 10% off on my 997.1S when I bought it back in 07. I heard there are some outstanding deals out there.

I would say 5% if your really suck at negotiating, 8% if your good and 10% if you are a master negotiator!..lol

You usually can get a better deal on a ordered car than a car already in inventory. A car in inventory they have more money in than a car that is ordered. I would consider myself a decent negotiator. I got just under 8% off last time.

Discounts will very much depend on the dealer, time of year, number of cars in inventory, negotiating power/ leverage, etc. Don't believe everything you read about discounts on the forum, otherwise you'll think that no one here ever buys a car at less than 10% off . . .

I do realize that. I remember when I bought my 07 people were talking about 15% off, at that time that was pretty much invoice. I found no dealers at all trying to bite that.

A little over a month ago, I got a 2012.5 1-owner CPO C2S under 5k mi for < $90k. Original MSRP $115k+ so about 22% less. I negotiated up on my trade-in value instead of down on the price.

Was that a good deal? I really don't know.

Any dealer recommendations for me to start with?

Dave
