To each their own of course but on your stunning 991 covering anything in vinyl will look like crap IMO...

If you want a unique look to your car take a look at the Sport Classic Edition 997 which was limited to 250 cars - you can't do the roof indentation but you can put the faint stripes on the car. Would be subtle and unique - would require a very talented painter. Personally, I think the car looks great but that is an option.

Try plasti dipping the parts you were originally gonna wrap in CF, and if you don't like the look, it peels right off.

To each their own.

If you want to try it, go for it.

Better yet, like someone said just do one thing at a time like starting with the mirrors and see if you like it.

Your car looks great, and it would be hard to monkey up the looks, but fake carbon would get you there .

Do what you want -- everyone has an opinion, don't let that change your direction. I am speaking from a position of someone who has done the mods in question when I respond, not someone who needs to tell others what I think about their personal style choices! Styling is very very personal if you ask me, and if you want to wrap your car in gold CF and put red plastidip wheels on it, who cares what other members think?

I have tried many different styling modifications on many cars, some great, some awful, and from every one I've learned something. Yes, I do ask people what they think, and sometimes I might decide to change something as a result, but in the end I usually will do what I want and THEN ask for opinion, not the other way around!

Here are a few pics of my C4S with roof wrapped in matte black. I previously did the same project with matte finish CF, but didn't like the way it looked. So I heated the vinyl and peeled it off. Then decided to try a different type of vinyl, different color. I went black. And I could not be happier with it, and you wouldn't believe the number of questions I get from people about it. I did the work myself to educate myself....

Roof:

I wrapped in three separate sections (I have the metal sunroof option). Removed the rubber weatherstripping and re-installed after wrapping to get nice edges...

I also plastidip'd the side mirrors in matte black:

Don't like it? Fine. I do.

So, I say to the OP -- ask away. I'll be happy to share my own experiences with you.

Plastidip colors are one thing.
Fake carbon fiber vinyls are a totally different thing.
